Marine DC Electrical I

This course offers an introduction to DC electrical systems. The course emphasizes compliance with American Boat and Yacht Council standards. Electrical theory is demonstrated in practical hands-on projects in the shop. Course covers wire selection, making proper connections, simple marine DC system

installations, circuit troubleshooting with a multi-meter and understanding electrical schematics. The course also examines operation, proper selection, care and maintenance of a DC battery bank. This class will meet August 20 - October 17 and will be held Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00 - 9:30 pm in the NCMARTEC Building. The cost for this course is $61.30.
