Carteret Community College offers courses under two classifications:
Curriculum Programs
Curriculum Courses are part of a state-approved program of study. A particular program
of study leads to a certificate, diploma, or an Associate in Applied Science Degree.

Continuing Education
Continuing Education Courses provide general education opportunities for the adults.
These courses vary in length and are for upgrading job skills, developing new skills,
high school completion, or personal interest.
Continuing Education Admissions - Any adult is eligible to attend adult courses offered
through Continuing Education at the College. High school graduates and dropouts who are
18 years of age or older may enroll.
